Meet Our Leadership Team
Frank has been an advocate for seniors for 25 years. He’s a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Maryland and holds both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in health care administration. He’s passionate about perfecting best practices and continuously improving the quality of care for residents.
Chief Financial Officer
Gary has been with the BayWoods team since 2006. He graduated magna cum laude from McMurry College with a B.B.A. in accounting. He also earned an M.A.S. in administrative science from John Hopkins University. Gary has dedicated more than 29 years of his career to work in senior care. His daily responsibilities include overseeing the financial health of the organization and guiding the company to its strategic goals.
Director of Facility Operations
John has been with BayWoods since October 2002. With 35 years of experience, he holds a 4th class engineering license. His jobs include overseeing safety management for the community, as well as supervising maintenance work and security. When he isn’t tending to the safety of residents, he can be found at his home on the Eastern Shore with his wife and three children.
Director of Business Development
Since 1993, Jim has focused his career on the senior living industry. He holds a master’s degree in health service management/ Health Administration. Jim is partial to the Annapolis area, as his grandfather was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He works tirelessly cementing relationships with external health providers and vendors to promote and create the healthiest atmosphere possible for our residents. His attention to marketing and sales for each level of care involves a great deal of interaction with many area hospitals, Physicians and other healthcare and community members. Jim hosts many events held at BayWoods to promote and educate the community at large.
Director of Resident Services
Becky has been serving the needs of BayWoods residents since 2003. Her principal job is to maintain a high level of quality in the activities our residents enjoy. She promotes wellness through fitness, clubs, communication, and easy transportation for residents. She’s an Annapolis native and a graduate of Virginia Tech. She lives on the Eastern Shore with her husband and daughter.
Brenda has been with BayWoods since 2007, and is the primary support person for the President and Executive Director. Brenda is a strong member of the team here at BayWoods and is the go to staff member for residents and families alike. Brenda has been a longstanding resident of Annapolis and is very resourceful to all.
Katherine (Kathy) Solis is an experienced HR Director with over 20 years of experience in the field. All of her experience is in various levels of senior living. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Park University in Parkville, MO and a Master’s degree in Human Relations (with an emphasis on Human Resources) from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. She is married and has two grown children and one granddaughter.
Director of Hospitality
Lori has worked in senior living since 1988. Having been a director in 4 different communities, Lori also has experience as a Corporate Director for Hospitality in a company that manages 14 communities. In addition, Lori worked in the Business and Industry side of dining services, managing accounts like Northrup Grumman and Honeywell dining services. Lori owned her own consulting business just prior to joining Baywoods. She has a degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and has been a Certified Dietary Manager since 2001. Lori is married and has one daughter who is a chef in Rhode Island.
Director of Health and Wellness
Tina S. Larose earned a PhD from Capella University with a dissertation on prosocial behavior as it relates to why people serve and the relationship between customer-oriented behavior and motivation among nurses. Tina began working at BayWoods of Annapolis since July 2019 and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She wrote a book about the field of nursing. In Coaching Natural Attitudes, and explains how empathy, enthusiasm and an understanding of a healthy and positive attitude are the heart of healthcare. Tina also has an MBA and MHSA from Strayer University. With extra knowledge working at other nursing and rehab centers, allows her to bring different management styles and perspectives in managing the health center and the people who work at BayWoods of Annapolis.
