The Resident Services Department is to enhance the lives of residents at all levels of care by providing a balance of recreational, spiritual, cultural, intellectual, and social services. Our goal is to maximize our residents' independence and provide a sense of accomplishment and wellbeing while maintaining a high quality of life.
Activities and Events
There are opportunities for individuals as well as group involvement at BayWoods. BayWoods recognizes the value of social interaction but also respects the autonomy of individuals. New ideas are always welcomed and can be presented to the Activities Committee which meets monthly.
BayWoods has a library of books, periodicals and newspapers. You are free to borrow books from the library for your reading pleasure. Residents can donate books, periodicals and newspapers to the library.
Resident Clubs and Interest Groups
BayWoods supports the development of clubs and interest groups that are desired by the residents and add to the quality of life in the community. If you are interested in starting a group or club we can help you make it happen.

BayWoods In-House Channel
An in-house BayWoods information channel 970 is operated to disseminate information of community interest, activities, menus and emergency announcements. Residents who wish to post a notice on the in-house channel may do so by a written request.
Resident Town Half Meetings with the Executive Director
These meetings present an opportunity for the Executive Director and the Department Directors to meet with the residents on an informal basis.
BCHC Board of Directors and Committee Meeting and Minutes
Administration will present periodic surveys to residents for them to indicate how well BayWoods is measuring up to their expectations. From time to time, additional specific surveys will be presented to residents for feedback that is used to modify and improve the programs offered.
BayWoods Resident's publication, The Breeze includes residents' submissions and information regarding life at BayWoods.
Monthly Calendar and Newsletter
BayWoods Resident Services Department monthly calendar, The C.O.R.E. (Community Oriented Retirement Experience) and newsletter, The Beach Comber provides valuable information for the month's activities and life at BayWoods.
Emails to Residents
BayWoods will send residents reminders and updates about events and activities through emails
Fitness and Wellness
There is a variety of exercise equipment available as well as a croquet court, putting green and walking trail. For your personal health and safety, a Fitness and Wellness Coordinator is available to assist you with exercises.

Local transportation services are provided on a scheduled basis using BayWoods vehicles for residents
participating in a BayWoods sponsored event, grocery shopping or attending church. For medical appointments
that are within the designated zip codes and are scheduled on the designated medical transportation day(s),
there is no charge to our residents.
Individual Use of BayWoods Transportation BayWoods vehicle(s) and driver(s) are available for private trips by BayWoods residents, subject to availability.
Transportation Religious Services
Volunteer positions include participating in one or more of the committees within the community. Other volunteer positions include those assisting staff members in The Healthcare Center through the Therapeutic Recreation Committee.Contact Us
